Standard

hold up

We live in the  days and times where we have to be bold about our faith and where we stand, and that we believe without a doubt that Jesus is the standard!  Many organizations and individuals are trying to silence those that believe by fear and intimidation as to where we stand in our faith, the good thing is that the word of God told us these days would come, and yes, they are here.

2 Peter 1:3-5 makes it clear:

3   Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as                                      they were  from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth                                        standing out of the water and in the water:

We will be tested, mocked, and humiliated for our continued belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but it is up to us if we are willing to Hold up the Standard for his name!

Acts 4: 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Make him your choice today!  Choose JESUS!   He is so soon to Return and you dont want to miss him when he comes!

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Whispering a Loud Scream… the voice of one who has been bullied.

Standard

A person who has endured bullying is one that feels that they are voiceless and can not be heard.  I made a personal vow to do my part in raising awareness, bring this issue to the forefront.  When you have children and teens taking there life over someone teasing them for one reason or another…. And then not only them…but rally to get others on board to join in with them it hurts!  Below you will find a true story of a survivor of bullying.  Her name is left anonymous.

I was just about eight years old I got taken from my Mom and Dad and I got placed in foster care.   It took my Mom about two years to get me back and from then 2002 my Mom told me that we have to move to Virginia I really didn’t like the fact that I would have to leave my friends but I said okay that’ll be fine.

So I started school and CMS and I really didn’t fit in there they told me I was the oddball, but it’s okay I just smiled and laughed at them but then one day it all changed – I got this new haircut and then things started happening to me that I really didn’t understand.

I never really got bullied until I got my haircut and then from there on out it was when push came to shove I was bullied day in and day out even I couldn’t go anywhere without somebody saying “Hey you you’re stupid!”  “You’re ugly!  “Why don’t you just die!” “Whyy don’t you just go kill yourself”!

At times I really do think about suicide nobody asked me if I was okay I always keep a smile on my face I was always so depressed but nobody knew and then high school I got a little bit worse worse I mean really worse!  I couldn’t go to school because it was so bad and not only did I get beat up but a couple days before I did and they warned me that if I was to go to the bathroom alone that they would find me.

Well One at lunch I had totally forgotten what they said but I use the bathroom alone next thing I know I seen 12 girls in the bathroom kind of scary they said all I’m going to hurt you! I’m going to hurt you!  Well the only thing that I knew what to do is just shut up and take it well one girl was holding my feet and the other was holding my hands.

I know this might sound sad or scary but at this moment I really didn’t know what to do I had a water bottle in my hoodie pocket I tried to kick and scream teachers even came into the bathroom they didn’t do nothing to stop it they’d let the fight go on and then my head ended up in the bricks of my high school lunchroom from there on I have been living my life scared of people i’m scared of being hurt and I’m scared to be alone.

We have to take a stand and be the voice for our kids against bullying!!  This young lady who now is married and has children still has flashbacks of those awful days! But thank God she survived and is now on the road to healing and recovery!  Talk to your children make sure they are not suffering silently at school or anywhere else!

blogging-tips

You know its amazing how much information our minds hold? As I sat down one day just pondering over the good, bad,  and uglies of life, I realized how much we can invest in someone else.  There is nothing ever wasted that we experience, especially if we come out a stronger, better person.

My choice now at 40 something is to “Say it Loud” make some noise on the journey!!   Yes, I feel intimidated sometimes at the thought of putting all the words together, but at the end of the day, if what I say can help the next person then why not?4312332652_979ba9075a

Say it loud!! Uplift! Heal! Share!  Invest!  Its a great feeling…freeing I might add also!!! Its your story!!

I have been blessed to be a Grandmother now since 2010.  I have 3 wonderful little people that call me “Gama”.  Now that my oldest grandson is 4.  He says to me, “GRandmom”…I have to jump in real quick and say, “No, its “Gama”.  (do not pronouce that R) it really would make me feel  lot older!!  Anyway, now that he is all of 4.  He says,  “Yesterday when I was still little”… and go on with his story! LOL.

Then there is my 3 year old, the one I refer to as Gamas Sweetcheeks.  He is learning how to pronouce words.  One of my favorite words that I really love to hear him say is “backer”  he has a little difficulty with the letter C when trying to say “cracker”!  He knows exactly what he is saying, but we have to listen really close and sometimes figure it out!  It is so cute.

Then there is the lil lady of the house,   the 14 month old that is coming into her own! She isnt afraid of anything!  These little people came into my life at the times I needed them most.  They have brought me joy, so much love and happiness.  You can say, they have been angels on assignment to help heal hurts from l my husband and I losing our parents, and other close family members,  to coping with the storms that life has brought us.

It is true, you never know what you will end up having go go through in life, but one thing im sure of, is that God knows the plans in our life before we do. Jeremiah 29:11 says, ” For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end “.  I am a living witness that the 3 luvbugs,  as I affectionately call them were not a part of my plan at this stage in my life,  but im so glad that they were a part of Gods plan for me, and this GAMA would not change a thing!  READY OR NOT THEY ARE HERE!!
